Rugby Club Vannes: a 3m-high backlit ball

Rugby Club de Vannes, leader of the Pro D2, has equipped itself with an inflatable replica of the official ball. Tailor-made design perfectly adapted to the intended use.

Background

Having returned from the Top 14 for a season, RCV is now top of the Pro D2 rankings. With every match sold out, La Rabine – the stadium of the city of Vannes – is equipped accordingly, thanks in particular to decorative elements conceived and designed by Hurrah, starting with this 3 m high backlit inflatable balloon.

Decorate without complication

On match days, the stadium has to be prepared. At the RCV’s request, Hurrah designed, printed and manufactured this ball, an exact replica of the official Gilbert used by the Breton team. Reaching a height of 3m, the ball is installed in the heart of the fan zone.

An internal lighting system allows the object to glow, while highlighting the colors of the club and sponsors on the ball. Everything is controlled by a handheld remote control.

Easy to use, this balloon inflates in less than a minute, using a single electrical outlet. As well as being fire-approved, it dispenses with the need for unsightly and dangerous guy ropes.

Tough, durable, practical

The balloon part, made of polyester, is attached to a reinforced flexible PVC base. This waterproof tee accommodates the ballast required (and calculated) for stability, as well as the blower and lighting system. The latter, with its 10,000 lumens of power, could light up the entire fan zone if necessary, without distorting the ball’s colors. Above all, it can change colors without any hue limit.

The main advantage of this giant balloon is its ease of use. One person is all you need to set it up, and put it away once the party’s over.

Designed for outdoor use, this balloon is resistant to wind and rain. The entire light/blower system is IP65-rated.

Hurrah, the right solution

Hurrah is proud to help the RCV regain its place among the elite. Butoffering products that are truly adapted to all clubs is even better. This ball, designed and manufactured in Brittany, combines just a few aspects of Hurrah’s practical and technical know-how dedicated to the fan experience.
